This edition features new events such as the 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 (Sri Lanka-April), 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝟑.𝟑 (Jakarta-May), 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 (Perak-May), 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 (KL-May), 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 (June), 𝐂𝐌𝐂 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 (Nilai-June), & 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 (Phuket-July), not to be confused with their other upcoming tournament in Bangkok this month! Then in September, there is the 7th CSIT World Sports Games in Centro Congressi Milano Marittima, Cervia, Italy.
The Malaysian Chess Federation has also released the 𝐌𝐂𝐅 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 which features events like the 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 which surprisingly will be held in 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 this year, and dates for the 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 have also been released!
In the 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 section, we see what came up at the 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐱 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢. The 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 took off in Chongqing, China on the 28th of March, and is currently at 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝟓 with 𝐋𝐞𝐢 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐣𝐢𝐞 now in the lead! Following on, we also see the details for the #𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 are up! Concurrently with the event, there will be the "𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐯𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝" event where the best female players will face off in Astana!

The chess section of Royal Selangor Club is starting our chess coaching next month. It's by Jax Tham, an experienced chess coach for beginners and intermediate players.
*Every Sunday 2-5 pm
*Starts Sun 9th April 2.00 pm
*Venue : Kiara Room, Bt Kiara RSC
*Cost is RM220 per month for members and
*RM250 per month for non members
