Restarting fresh with the October Edition!
August may have slipped away, & September may have flown by, but we are back for October!
October holds a few tournaments in Thailand, The Rooky Tournament, & Mini Thailand Pattaya Open. In Indonesia, there is the JAPFA Chess Festival from 18th to 22nd October with total prizes worth $17,200 USD. Anyone thinking about visiting beautiful Kazakhstan can play in the Pavlodar Open from 21st to 31st Oct which holds an impressive prize fund of $51,000! Registration for the Pavlodar Open closes on 15th Oct.
October in Malaysia holds the Kejohanan Catur Terbuka Shah Alam on 21st October by Cerdik Catur, then the WPKL Women U20 - Circuit 2 on 22nd October, which is a FIDE rated all women-only event!
In November, the Malaysian Chess Federation will have its 1st National Seniors Chess Championship in KL from 7th to 9th, followed by the National Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship in KL Gateway Mall from 17th to 19th Nov.
In December, alongside the Asian Chess Federation, MCF & Sabah Chess will be hosting the Eastern Asia Juniors & Girls Chess Championship in Kota Kinabalu from 1st to 9th Dec, followed by the 15th Penang Chess Festival from 17th to 24th December at St. Xavier's Institution by Penang Chess Association.
