Syakir Shazmeer emerged as champion in the open category & Muhammad Khalish Adam championed the U12 section. The tournament holds a 7 rounds game with a time control of 20 minutes plus 2 seconds increment.

On the 25th of February on a bright Saturday, KSRP held its annual friendly tournament at the to-be-opened DAT Chess Centre, run by IA Hamid Majid. The event - 𝐊𝐞𝐣𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐒𝐑𝐏, had 2 categories playing, namely the Open section & the U12 section. The tournament holds a 7 rounds game with a time control of 20 minutes plus 2 seconds increment.

A number of 23 players participated in the 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 and 𝐒𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐳𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐫 emerged as 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧. In the 𝐔𝟏𝟐 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 12 youngsters participated and 𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦 emerged as 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧!

Mr. Hamid also took the opportunity to announce that the 𝐃𝐀𝐓 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 will have its 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 on the 𝟏𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 along with a mini 𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐳 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 for 64 players (in light of 64 chess squares 😉).
