Now let’s talk about April! There’s the KIMMA (WP Kuala Lumpur) Open Chess Tournament 2024 on 28th April 2024 at PWTC, KL. The champion prize for the Open section stands a chance to take home RM1000! 🏆
Those looking to head overseas in May can visit Kazakhstan for the Aktobe Open 2024 - Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial on 24th May - 3rd June 2024 with a US$100,000 Prize Fund! 🏆 Followed by the 26th Asian Youth Chess Championships in June at Almaty, Kazakhstan!
That’s it for the tournament highlights! In other news, the FIDE Candidates have just started in Toronto, having already played 4 rounds & moving into the rest day now.

Gonna try to keep the caption short for April, but we would like to highlight some upcoming tournaments, namely the Blue Chevaliers International Open 2024 from 21st to 27th July at the same venue as last year - Novotel Phuket Resort, Thailand. Visit their website for the tournament details, & make sure to register early & book that next flight to Thailand fast as spaces are limited 😉 (also, we wouldn’t want to make Bami mad 😌)
